Founder & Principal · Climate adaptation & resilience advisor

Angie Woo

Think Resilience is deliberately small. Angie leads the client relationship, conducts the analysis and signs the work. Clients know who is accountable for the reasoning and the final deliverables.

The approach draws on experience with health-sector resilience, climate risk assessment and adaptation planning at organizational and wider programme scales, then adapts those disciplines for businesses that need proportionate answers, practical actions and usable evidence.

Based in Canada, Angie works virtually with clients and partners across Canada and internationally. Location-specific hazard information is combined with international climate risk and adaptation methods so the work can travel without pretending that every location is the same.

What Angie works on

Angie’s work focuses on physical climate risk, climate adaptation and organizational resilience: understanding how hazards affect assets and operations, translating risk information into practical decisions, developing adaptation options and pathways, and building enough internal capability for clients to continue the work themselves.

Standards-informed practice

Climate risk and adaptation work draws on ISO 14091, ISO 14090 and BS 8631 where appropriate to the engagement. The resulting work is described precisely according to how each standard was used.

Direct accountability

A deliberately limited engagement load allows Angie to remain directly involved in the analysis, workshops and final deliverables.

Independent challenge

Comprehensive climate risk assessments receive external review before final delivery, providing a separate challenge to the analysis and assumptions.
