Welcome to thinkresilience.ca (the "Site"), operated by Think Resilience Inc. ("Think Resilience", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. 

1. For informational purposes only 

Content on the Site (including articles, posts, tools, examples, and descriptions of climate hazards, insurance trends, or adaptation measures) is provided for general information only. It is not professional, engineering, legal, insurance, financial, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances. Do not act or refrain from acting based on Site content without obtaining appropriate professional advice. 

Climate-related information involves inherent uncertainty. Projections, scenarios, and loss figures referenced on the Site are illustrative and rely on third-party models and data whose accuracy we do not warrant.  

2. No client relationship 

Using the Site, contacting us, or subscribing to our content does not create an advisory or client relationship with Think Resilience. Advisory services are provided only under a signed engagement letter and our service terms and conditions. 

3. Intellectual property 

The Site and its content (including text, graphics, logos, frameworks, and materials) are owned by Think Resilience or its licensors and protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may view, download, and print content for your personal or internal business use. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, or distribute Site content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. Third-party images and materials remain subject to their owners' licence terms and any attribution shown. 

4. Acceptable use 

You agree not to: misuse the Site or interfere with its operation or security; attempt unauthorized access to any systems or data; scrape or harvest content or personal information; or use the Site for unlawful purposes or to transmit malicious code. 

5. Third-party links and resources 

The Site may link to third-party websites, data sources, or tools (e.g., government climate data portals). These are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement. 

6. Disclaimer of warranties 

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. 

7. Limitation of liability 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Think Resilience and its directors, officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any loss or damage - direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise - arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to CAD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you. 

8. Privacy 

Personal information collected through the Site is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. 

9. Changes to these terms 

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows the latest revision; continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance. 

10. Governing law 

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute relating to the Site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
